After an online petition has had a huge response asking for her sentance to be pardoned, i ask...
Are 'Celebritys' above the law?

My personal view is that, as they are role models they should have even stricter sentances for illegal behaviour. and not be allowed to profit from selling their story about it afterwards.

Well my view is that she is a skinny parasite from her dad. I hope she gets put in prison asap. At least we will not have to put up with her on the news. God, with all the terrible things going on in the world. Why do we waste our time on such useless idiots ?
With a role model like that, heaven help the young people.
she's not my role model (I have Genghis Khan), but no matter anyway: I believe everyone should be equal before the law and she should get the same punishment as anyone else.
No, she has to learn that though she's a millionaire (can't see how someone like her is a role model!) law doesn't apply. She's been stopped for drinking driving so now she's been stopped driving without a license well it's normal she gets prison isn't it? 45 days isn't that bad and no doubt she'll have all the magazines wanting a write-up about the hardships she'd had to endure. She'll be a heroine by the end of it....
Who the hell is Paris Hilton anyway? Some bird with a fancy name. I don't even know what she looks like but she needs bringing down a peg or two. I mean for heaven's sake, 45 days? Its only 6 weeks. She should pay the penalty she deserves as anyone else should and would. Celebrity or not, she's a human being who has broken the law.
Some people walk around with adverts on their clothes, crocodiles etc. This woman's family decided to make her Name the advert. Is it any wonder she's all
mixed up ?
Whilst agreeing that if she did the crime, she should do the time, is there an argument that she would be targetted in a prison general population? Since we're talking a relatively minor offence, is it fair that she's sent somewhere that the authorities know she'd end up stuck on the receiving end of a fist?
Jebus! I just reread that!

You know what i mean...!

i am sick of all these celebritys thinkin they can do as they please.I am glad she is going to prison.Serves her right. Some people think they can pay their way out of anythin.I'd love to be a fly on the wall when she gets in there.lol
Tough! She knew she was breaking the law but obviously thought it didnt apply to her. It wasnt like she could'nt afford to hire a driver until her ban was over.

She is a spoilt brat who needs to learn that money cant buy you everything. I hope she learns her lesson.

I did notice that all the "entertainment" journalists in the US were backing her. Probably hoping for an "exclusive" from her once this is all over and trying to stay on her good side.
triggerhappy - I have a dvd here where she does just that.
String her up! It's the only language these people understand
Who gives a toss?
I don't agree with the sentence at all, she should have been sent to a prison in Iraq for at least a year, then she would have really learnt a lesson.

poor paris she gets 45 days cut to 23 or somethin then gets released on house arrest with her fake illness to get out of it and now she is being sent back to do her full 45 day sentence.Aww my heart bleeds.SPOILT BRAT
