My Hermes Parcel Drop Off And Collection
11 Answers
Hi Not sure if this is the right catagory for this but wondered if anyone can help, we sent a parcel via Hermes where you pay online then they collect, they failed to collect on Monday, the specified day, I had a parcel dropped yesterday by Hermes to me, nothing to do with the parcel leaving my house, and they didn't have any info they had to collect a parcel (expensive item) the courier was new to the job and didn't know, anyway we have sent parcels this way before and you can track online where your parcel is etc and normally it says straight away, parcel collected, it does not say this at all and still says parcel waiting collection, we are worried as this is an expensive item and you never get through on the phone and emails have been ignored and live chat is useless??? anyone else know what we can do if the item gets lost, stolen, we are a tad worried TIA

My daughter is a Hermes driver but she only does deliveries, other drivers do collections. If it is still at your house then you know it is not lost. When it is collected the driver will scan the bar code on it's label to show it had been collected and the system will show it as 'collected' .
If you have given the parcel to the delivery driver you have a problem.
The delivery drivers do not do collections. The driver should have refused to accept it but as they were new they did not realize.
They would not have been able to scan it as their scanners are only programmed to scan items they deliver to confirm delivery.
You will have to hope the driver is honest and hands the parcel over.
