I went shopping for curtains and blinds today and came home with neither.

I need a 2.58m drop for my curtains and there were no ready made ones that lomng. The made to measure ones for £350 each pair and I need four. This was in Dunelm.

Does anyone know where I can find long curtains at a reasonable price?

Pasta, Amazon can sell you anything!

Jno, it would be cheaper doing it that way!
2.74 m is a standard length. It's the old 108" standard for most Edwardian bay windows with centre French doors.
Susan, treat yourself to the best things you want for your new flat. You deserve it, after all it’s going to be your forever home, just spend spend spend and enjoy . :-)
Have a look on Wayfair site too.
^^^ Good thinking, Hazlinny.

As with other suppliers, Wayfair seem to work with 274 cm as the length that you'd actually have to go for. So, just as with Dunelm, you'd still need to get them shortened.

This link goes directly to all curtains on the Wayfair site that have a drop of at least 258 cm (and no more than 300 cm). However all of those that I've looked at actually only offer 274 cm:

Anne - I know, but I have much to buy.

Chris and Hazlinny, I had a quick look at Wayfair but was going to have a proper look tomorrow. Thanks.

Rowan, modern homes must have tiny windows. It doesn't help that some sites use cm and others inches ... and a couple of sites used both.

I've just done my shopping in Iceland. I fell asleep a couple of times and had to reset my slot for delivery.

I will know how much I can splurge when I find out how much it is going to cost to get the bath removed and shower enclosure installed and the electricians will be needing to be paid too.

I was going to look around the charity shops but I need two curtains for each of the front facing rooms. The living room ones have to be the same.

My darling brother has been so helpful. When I told him my latest kidney function results were not good and have to be repeated he said that I had better not 'peg it' and leave him with two flats to sell. His caring side is showing?!
