Bobbi, oh yeah I had a problem, a serious one. Full-blown alcoholic. My OH is a recovering alcoholic too, so we helped each other out. I was putting away a 70cl bottle of vodka and up to 6 litres of 7.5% cider away every day. It's one of the reasons why I'm diabetic and will be on strong pain medication for the rest of my life. It would be so long ago I wouldn't remember were it not for one night in 2019.
We made some new friends in Ireland. One makes the most fantastic wine.
I seem to have taken part in an initiation ceremony without knowing.
Nobody mentioned how strong some of his wine is. Seems this happens to everyone on their first visit to sample the wine.
I won't say what happened to another friend who experienced the same but needless to say we both stick at one glass now and nobody ever asks me to sing again. :-)

It was a beer festival..... Dave dared me to start at the strongest and work down.... The strongest was 10% ... At a half of each I got down to 7.2% not sure how many halves that was....it was a lot I remember the last one St Austell big job as it was so nice I went back twice. I had already done that with Oakham Attila 8.4% Somehow I got home, didn't wake up until 3 pm the next day.
I know I did well because one of the organisers shook my hand next time I was in one of our favourite bars.
