Night time eatting

Hi guys, I'm trying to lose weight, and my main problem is i get hungry at night and eat junk. i was told that i can eat as much protein as i like at night as it's carbs that put weight on through the night due to lack of movement. is this true? cheers guys

Excess calories will be stored as fat over time, regardless of whether they are taken in during the day or night.

AskAlice may well be right(!), the common assumption is that eating late at night will not give your body the chance to burn off the calories and you will gain weight. The truth is that your body processes calories the same way at night and during the day. The problem with late-night eating is that people tend to indulge in junk food rather than something healthy and that is what leads to weight gain.
