Tried on my swimming costume, thinking ahead to France in May. OMG, back to the drawing board :/
Spent time in a Sainsbury’s cafe eating a sausage batch (yuk, never again) and drinking a very, very nice Starbucks latte.
Ironed two of his shirts, one of mine, and a pair of his jeans. That’s my months worth of ironing sorted :)
Will put the kettle on shortly for a cuppa to have with an M&S chocolate eclair which will make getting out of bed today worth the effort.
How much more exciting can life get..that’s a challenge for you!

A well deserved G&T, hmm, might have to go and make one myself now. Was trying to abstain as I’ve a blood test on Friday but I don’t suppose one (or two) would hurt.
MissT, that sounds a perfect day for you, under the circumstances. I really hope the sepsis nurse was able to come up with some coping strategies. Tomorrow is another day, the weather is slowly improving, as are you. Wishing you well x

I only have schoolgirl French but used to really enjoy having conversations with French people, who were without fail very helpful and smiley at my attempts. I only ever encountered one French person who was tight lipped and rude, and that was because we’d just heard that London had got the Olympics in 2012. He wasn’t a happy lapin!
'Think we may have gone to the same Eurocamp as Zac'

Steak pie and veggies, Rowan, can’t beat a proper dinner on a cold nasty day. I saw some of the embroideries you’d posted photos of, they really are wonderful, I don’t know how you have the patience. I’ve done embroidery in the past and have a few of mine framed hanging in the wall in the house, nothing as complex and intricate as those though. Also a very precious sampler my mum did when I was a small girl.
Well, MissT, Oliver is right. I had a big op quite a while ago and had to learn patience so I do know how difficult it can be, but you just have to. There’s nothing more important than your recovery right now.
Well, I suppose I’d better go and warm up yesterdays veg soup, as always it was a surprise soup, and this one turned out a pleasant surprise for a change!

We used to spend a lot of time on what we called the Shell Beach due to the huge shells there. It was very close to Cap d’Agde, along a long sort of causeway road with campsites one side and this huge, long, beautiful sandy beach the other. I have the shells we collected in a glass container on the windowsill in our en suite.
