For reasons that elude me a sudden thought popped into my head about a book I read as a very young child. Now it is bugging me. It was about a dragon that abducted princesses and a knight went to kill the dragon only to find the dragon only wanted them to make pancakes. My reading skills have hopefully improved over the last 50 years but now it's driving me crazy !

A bit ambiguous - were the princesses the ingredients or the cooks.

lol ... the cooks :-)

I was reading the Guardian(as i do for my sins)and someone mentioned "The singing,ringing tree".Took me right back to about 1966.Scary stuff.
