I went to my favourite chippy, which means passing two others on the 3½ mile drive to get to it and then ignoring the rival shop that's very close to it.
Trade was probably a bit down on what it used to be but they still had a steady stream of customers coming through the door and the quality was as good as ever, with reasonable pricing. (£9.40 for a small rock eel, chips and curry sauce).

They are all suffering a big down turn in my area Buenchico. I just got fed up of throwing them away, and thats not good at yhe prices they now have to charge. The upside is, at last I found a frozen oven chip that is top notch. Aldi ones, that have been 3x cooked in beef dripping, they are the best frozen ones I've ever tasted.
