Annoying Gear Instructions!

My Ford Ka insists on showing me which gear to be in, such as change up to 5th as I'm about to slow down for a bend - duh! As I've been driving for 55 years, I resent this! Can it be disabled?

Hoppy - how irritating. I haven't driven anything but my own car since I bought it 15 years ago. At that time I tested one which had a Blind Spot indicator - it beeped when ever another vehicle was in your blind spot - drove me nuts so made sure mine wouldn't have that.

Mine has a blind spot indicator, but it makes no noise and you can switch it off in 'settings'.

Cars have changed an awful lot recently. The worst thing is most have touch screen controls.
