I will give 20p for "any old" item that you can think of from the 50 /60s up to a max of £50, towards the earthquake disaster fund. The item might even be produced today, or still in circulation, so a little nostalgia to help the fund grow.

I have a hostess trolley and a canister of Vim under the sink and my grandsons have the game Scoop so not everything from the 50s/60s is obsolete.
I remember when salt came in a large oblong block and my job was to scrape the salt off.

Layer outers. My gran was one. Whenever someone died at home the undertaker would ring Gran. She would put her clean apron on ,pick up her bag and go off to lay the corpse out. Wash and clean the body and dress them in a shroud.
