I get very tired in the evenings, although I don’t do anything strenuous during the day. Just wondered whether I should take iron tablets, maybe not every day, just to make me feel more awake?? I take Simvastatin and Levothyroxin during the day, no mention of anaemia in any recent blood tests. If you think it would help, how often should I take them? Thanks all.

No, it wouldn't help and don't take them without a good indication from a blood test.
My interest for your tiredness would be in the dose of your Levothyroxin and perhaps an up to date thyroid test, might be helpful.

Going down the "iron tablets" route may be asking for trouble.

Thanks Sqad, I have been taking 50 micrograms per day, for a few years now. Do you think maybe it needs to be higher?
I suggest that that you see your GP for repeat thyroid tests.
They will indicate the correct dose of Levothyroxin.

50micograms does seem a little"mean."
