I'm unsure what it will take to make people realise that NI being under EU control is a non-starter. Either the EU stops making excuses for disrespecting the Belfast agreement, Accepting that NI is not in the EU, and finding a way to accommodate both, or they should admit they have no intention of trying for a workable solution. Due to the seriousness of likely consequences the Belfast Agreement takes priority and the EU have to do their checks elsewhere. Claiming necessary standards convinces no one. Every export has to meet the receiving country's requirements regardless as to whether they are in a protectionist grouping or not. The sooner this Europhile 'useful idiot' Sunak goes, the better.
