I’m looking for a new pair of decent slippers.
I’ve been buying cheapo supermarket slip on ones but have found they make me walk funny and can be a bit dangerous because they’ll come off too easily when I don’t want them to.
Trouble is I get very hot feet so even in winter rarely wear socks indoors and don’t really want lined slippers which will make my feet too hot.
I have a pair of crocs by the back door which I pop on when taking dog for a pee in the garden or for just generally having a mooch outside, and find them very comfortable and I’m considering getting a pair just for wearing indoors but am exploring all options and open to any ideas.
Anyone have any slipper suggestions?
I find canvas shoes too stiff and warm, but thanks Barsel.
Now, I hadn’t thought of sliders, they could be the answer Johnny, those in your link look ideal.
I'm confused. You don't like cheapo supermarket slip on ones because they come off too easily; but think the items in the posted links look wonderful ???
OG, I know I would probably walk out of those and lose my balance. I think they are ok for good young feet but I'm afraid my feet are old and arthritic so they wouldn't suit me.
Hope Vagus finds something that suits her.
OG, if you’ve ever tried on supermarket ladies slip on slippers you’d know exactly what the difference is.
Those cloud sliders look very safe and secure to wear as they mould to your feet and have a large over foot ‘strap’, as well as sounding as if they’re very comfortable.
The only thing about crocs is they’re a bit bulky for packing. I’m going to explore sliders in general, in more detail.
Thanks Johnny and Helen, plenty of food for thought :)
Get some crocs. There are some that are lined, although maybe too hot for you. I absolutely love mine, I even have the summer slip on ones. I used to have Crocs flip flops too, they lasted me I'd say 10 summers using nearly everyday.
