Presumably, these farcical televised debates are seen as the opportunity for the aspirants to put their plans before the poor benighted taxpaying voters. What a pity that the SNP’s obsession with the lost cause of independence still obliterates all else. It would have been refreshing if any one of them had talked about improving things for the citizens , with the possible exception of Kate Forbes. Of course you can’t be a member of the SNP and be seen as ambivalent on the subject of the “I” word. So they keep banging on about it while the actual issues that affect the people who live here, sail slowly down the Swanny. I would not all that good government. Just my opinion of course, other opinions are available, including the one that says “ vote with your feet, vote for a change of government at the next GE. Oh! Wait that’s a single issue election I believe
Agreed, not all snp voters support independence, but their media approach makes it seems that way . After all they are very fond of saying “ Scotland wants this that and the other” “ Scotland voted for etc etc” ignoring those up here that didn’t want and didn’t vote for it.
My point is that, being disillusioned with politics and politicians, I don’t care what stripe the elected government have , as long as they actually do something that works for us who live here. I think the SNP’s one trick pony antics get in the way of them ever doing that. Turning my mind to find something positive that have done, nothing comes to mind, but I am sure the satire wavers will correct me
