Are Coloured Contact Lenses Easy To Put In And Take Out?

I'm thinking of ordering some coloured contact lenses but have never used them before so i have a few questions.
1.Are they easy to put them in and take out?
2.Can you feel them in there or are they forgotten so in other words do they feel natural or do you know there is a foreign object in your eye?
3.What happens if you're wearing contacts and then you get an eyelash or mascara in your eye and need to rub it?
4.I like the look of the ones that make it look like your whole eyes black like this

^What are these like compared to a normal contact lenses as they must be massive to cover the whole eyeball so must be difficult to take out and put in???
5.Are there any dangers to wearing contact lenses?

yes they feel like you have something in your eye

You should have some lessons from an optician in how to put them in and take them out so you don't damage your cornea

It sounds so risky rowanwitch and knowing my luck i'd probably end up with a badly infected eye.I think i'll just stick to multi coloured lashes for a bit of pazaz for my eyes.

I have had contact lenses in the past. Whilst mine were not coloured I can't see that making a lot of difference.

Until you get used to them then yes you can feel them. Once you are used to them it's easy to forget they are there. I needed to be sure they were removed before sleeping as I had the hard ones that needed cleaning ovrnight.

Yes they are easy to put in and out, although you need to get used to it. At first it's a little daunting to see your finger with lens on heading straight for your pupil. (I used to oput them on the white and slide them over.)

Don't have a lot of experience with mascara. Do users usually rub it into their eyes ?

Just checked your link, it is far larger than the ones I used to have. I suspect that reduces any potential problem as it would have difficulty slipping off at the side, top, or bottom. Might be more difficult to insert though, I would have thought. You'd need to learn the technique.

Ultimately you can just decide whether to give it a try or not.

Lol, just for clubbing oldgeezer! But yeah the contacts i might have to swerve as i have a constant uphill battle with greenflies flying into my eyes and your kneejerk reaction is to suddenly rub your eyes so if i had contacts in i'd probably end up in some kind of eyeball infection drama!

My friend has a fancy dress shop and sells lots of coloured small lenses. No difficulty in putting them in and out but you must keep everything scrupulously clean.

Personally, I think they are horrible.

Boxtops i was just about to say they're just a bit of fun to add variety to your look but after reading the that 4th users comment i think i'll steer clear of anything that goes in or around the eyes and just stick with funky glasses

I wore soft contact lenses for many years, got used to them quickly, and found them easy to clean etc. I have always assumed that coloured lenses would be soft ones and not hard, and you can get them from opticians who would show you how to manage them too.

I forgot to say, soft lenses cover he whole of the coloured part of your eye and I found them easier to take out than hard ones.

Thanks Smoneybags but after reading that that woman was nearly blinded and still has problems with her sight i've decided that it's just not worth risking my eyes for beauty especially with my track record with piercing infections, hair dye problems and quite a few more.

But probably the wrong kind of attention as you'd get drunk guys thinking you've either got a large nose or are hiding a large zit and will be pulling it back to have a look and letting it go twanging you with that thing all night!

As long as you stick to the rules of cleanliness you'll be fine.
My daughter had some 'violet' ones made,(her own eyes are blue) they looked gorgeous she had 100s of comments all complimentry.She never let on...
