Still No Bounce Back Then.
Richi Sunak and the NI Brexit deal was expected to pull back the Tories in the polls .But alas it's even more grim news again as the latest polls show Labour are well ahead of the Grim looking Tory Party , leading with 26 points. What a mess Boris and Truss left behind them for their fellow Cronies.

I think there is a general feeling that it is time for a change - one that involves an actual different party rather than the Tories pretending to be a different party :-)
Therefore I am not sure there is anything really that could effect a significant change in the polls.
The latest attempt is the appearing to talk tough on vulnerable migrants from abroad, but I have a feeling they may be disappointed there also

Gulliver, please don't take this the wrong way or as patronising.
You've had, quite rightly, three of the rude answers to you removed. More should have gone.
There are more folk on AB than it appears who agree with you. They don't post because you tend to join in the rudeness and petty personal comments and they'd rather discuss different views than contribute to an OP that is going to go down the drain because of the to and fro insults.

Last I heard the same problems were still in play:
The war in Ukraine
Oppression of certain groups in North Africa and the middle East
Poverty in certain of Eastern Europe both driving economic and refugee movement
Covid is still proving a massive drain on NHS resources so there is little chance of reducing the backlog of cases.
Energy prices while dropping are still far too high for the impact to be managed by many families
Add in the post Brexit adjustments, which were always going to be problematic
I don't think a government of either party will be able to make things much better
Wave your flags, wear your rosettes, if you must, better to find some way of working together to get a grip on the things you still have power over.

They are only willing to elect actual Tories or a good impersonation there of.

I'm no friend of gulliver1 - I think he's usually his own worst enemy and brings any sensible opposition to the Tory Government into disrepute - which is a shame as they (and their supporters) need to be challenged on some very dubious policies.
But we've all been warned about personal abuse and he has a very thin skin - so I now either post a sensible answer or (more often) simply avoid his posts and avoid being clouted by the mods/eds and their big sticks.

Are we expected to tolerate his facile political tripe and daily insults without response? If one is a timid sort then don't go looking for a fight every day, you'll probably find one.
