Yes but you cant then just apply it to any particular part of society.

Many jobs attract a certain type of person (not just talking about gay) and that in itself may deter some from going that route. Football probably is one of those jobs where due to a general lack of brains and education homophobia is probably more rife. It would follow on that gay people may well be deterred from following this job path.

I would however be surprised if he was 'the only one'.
