Me and my partner are looking at going away for a couple of nights in November and was looking for some ideas for a cheap weekend away. We live in East London and don't want to travel too far, just want to get away on our own.

Thanks all!

What about Brighton......My wife and I go down there quite a bit to visit mates and we ALWAYS have a great time.

I'm from Bournemouth, this is also a good town to visit.
Hello,

I have just come back from Prague. This an exellent place for you and your partner to go for a weekend break. I know you said you didnt want to go far, but you can fly there within 2 hours and easyjet fly there from some of their airports. I stayed in an apartment which I got through a website called lovingprague.com. two nights cost me 70. Prague is cheap to eat out and there is plenty to see and do.
Southwold's pleasant at any time of the year:

It's a fairly easy drive up the A12 from where you are. Alternatively, there are direct trains from Liverpool Street to Halesworth. These connect with the 521 bus service for the short journey to Southwold.

Hi Bumble We always take short breaks with Shearings. We are going to Eastbourne Friday to Monday in couple of weeks time. 85 each for three days, Bed Breakfast and Evening Meal. A little bit of entertainment and hotel bars at Pub prices.
Six of us go twice a year and we reckon its great
November the prices in some of their hotels go down to 65 for three nights. Some hotels have tribute bands on Saturdays. Cant really go wrong Rgds Al
Brighton is great at this time of the year and about an hour by train from London. Plenty of resturants,Shows,Pubs, Royal Pavilion, Brighton Pier, Marina Village, Easy to get around with 24 hour bus service and Tuk Tuks. Only problem is parking if you bring the car.
