Incidentally, when i worked as a welder, i always did overtime but only if i was given a lift home (buses were one an hour after 6pm). Boss's son drove me home every evening - in his Jaaaaaag.
He popped in for a brew one evening, leaving his motor parked outside mine and everyone thought i'd bought a Jaaaaaag :-)
