Is there any free way of finding out the location of a phone number ? Someone keeps texting me, weird texts, the number is no one I know and apart from phoning them I don't know what else to do, I have text back saying they have the wrong number

I believe the only way of finding this out is, if the texts are scary or offensive or threateneing, to report them to your local police station, and then the police contact your service provider to ask them to search for the information. It's best if you also ask them and give them you crime reference number. Your Service Provider cannot offer this service to you-they will only do this if asked to by the police. I have been advised it can take up to 3 months.

technically, i dont think there is a law against you emailing the phone number to people, and them doing it back...

if they really are harrassing you..

i get a few hundred free texts a month, and i never manage to use them all up

Its someone having an affair I think, but texting me saying stuff...it's more the fact that they text late at night, yes I know switch my phone off but I don't see why I should lol, I've told them more than once they have the wrong number and still they text...
