Hi there! I also had LAMBS LETTUCE as the answer to 37a but that doesn't fit with 27d: Is Bart's dad a racing pigeon? (5 letters)... the answer I assume is HOMER which would mean the 4th letter for 37a is 'R' not 'B'???

Wonder if the setter couldn't read their own writing and mistook their 'B' to be an 'R' or vice versa? Easily done in a dark light and with shaky handwriting! ;0)))
