Hello I was just wondering if anyone has been applying for probate lately, we've been waiting since late December and just wondering how long it's taking to come through. I know they are having a lot of problems at the moment and 16 weeks seems to be the norm but it would be great to hear if anyone has had theirs come through any earlier, thank you

That's par for the course at the moment, I'm afraid.

My Mum passed away end of September, solicitor applied for probate about end of October and said it would be about 10-16 weeks. We had it in 4!!

Thank you that gives me hope, my mum passed away a month after yours, but took a while to get all the paperwork together, do here's hoping it's soon, the buyers are desperate to move in and we don't want to lose the sale!!

Friends who are also waiting for probate have rented the house to the purchasers until the probate is completed.
