The new payment is due to come into effect next Monday. As that day is a Bank holiday, for those normally paid on a Monday, next week's payment is this Thursday.
Does that mean the increase won't actually show up until the next normal Monday payment...the 17th?

If you are due a payment on a BH/PH I thought they used to be paid early.
If its due to go up as from Monday but payment is been made early then it should be the higher payment. But depends whether pensions is paid in advance or in arrears?
Yes helen i think pastas saying its going to be paid early but will it include the increase
Yes it should include the increase.
It certainly did when I worked in tax credits

Ok...I'll let you know on Thursday.
If the new amount doesn't show...then it would seem the government is saving money...tsk, tsk.
If it doesn't, I think it will be the first time it hasn't shown up Pasta.
Are your benefits paid weekly in advance or four-weekly in arrears?
Question Author
I'm paid on Mondays...is that in advance? I'd never known one way or another.
Is it every Monday?
Question Author
Yes...I should have said so.
As it's paid in advance, that week will be at the new rate.

Four-weekly payments are in arrears so in that case, the final week of that period would have had 6/7ths at the old rate and 1/7th at new one which is why I asked if it's in arrears or no.
