"Most couples do this when they get engaged" (9) 13. slip on granulated sugar (9) - have seen this answered as Doncaster, but that is the answer to another question, so is a doubtful, unless the setter has repeated any, and in any case, granulated sugar isn't caster. Some of the clues are a bit iffy, to say the least. Thank you, in anticipation.

What's the clue lindyloo for the other question you have Doncaster for

Caster sugar is a "granulated" sugar with smaller grains that that usually known as "granulated sugar". (It is not a powdered sugar)

Thank you all for your suggestions. Sorry should have mentioned they are towns and cities in the UK! Not keen on Kettering but it has got the correct number of letters. Have checked with the sender of the quiz, and apparently there are repetitions - just to confuse us further.
