No but I've noticed that turning on the Virgin Tivo in the morning takes longer for it to come on, than it did with the old valve TV. That's progress for you.
Not since you have to use a diversity aerial.
Have they ever made a B&W TV with a digital tuner?

Our cat used to sit on top of the old valve TV, because it was warm. At a critical moment in the programme she would swish her tail across the screen.

I think you can still get a monochrome TV licence, cheaper than for colour.
I doubt it as most B&W tv's used anolog signal.
That's just licences, Hoppy. Since they were only broadcasting digital signals, what were they going to watch on the TV? They could have an old analogue recorder and play back recordings via a SCART but you wouldn't need a licence for that as it's not live.
It makes me think that the people who still have a B&W licence are either cheats or twits. Cheats because they have a cheap licence which keeps the detector people at bay or twits because they buy a licence they don't need.
