just had a card through door saying i owe £2.50 postage to pay before my item can be delivered all this look expertly done though royal mail i have nothing to deliver in anyway shape or form just googled it and others have had the same..

I repeat every link you have posted refers to scam emails and texts, not cards posted through the door.

there is a large sticker over the top half with my address no name and the numbers i sent on here earlier im calling at the sorting office tomorrow ill let you know
but as i stated times before i have not ordered anything from anyone I've not sent anything at all out i lve alone so no one else can do this the only friends and family ive all use text and e-mails

If they want £2.50 to deliver something to me, then they can go back to the sender to ask for it. They've already done the major part. As intended receiver I've not agreed to be charged. And if their charge system is so crepe folk can get it wrong, perhaps they should apply their grey matter to correcting it.

I had the same. It was underpaid postage, card from my brother. I let it rot.

If you go to the genuine Royal Mail website and to the underpaid fees section you will not be scammed.

Only if you follow a dodgy link via an email or text message.

How much would it cost a scammer to print cards and get them delivered? Not much profit in it.

Your right to be cautious and ask before paying.....but am not sure why you think its a scam and who you think is scamming you. If there's no number who are you being asked to send money to??
Let us know how you get on. My guess its a birthday or Easter card with no valid stamp

It might now be too late to mention it but, just in case Nero2024 hasn't already had a wasted trip, I'll point out that there's absolutely no point in going to the sorting office today. It's Good Friday, so they won't be open.
