Today's ITV 7 is very much a 'northern' affair in that the 3 tracks providing the 7 races are all oop north - or, if you're from the south, ap norf:-) The first leg is the 1.50 Musselburgh, where 3 more races come from, Carlisle provides one and Happy Haddock (Haydock to the uninformed) provides the other 2.
The 3.00 Musselburgh is a 13 runner handicap in which a certain Vintage Clarets runs, trained by my fav trainer on the level, Richard Fahey. Just a pity Hannagan no longer rides for him, but after yesterday's heroics (not to mention my usual tenner on at 9/1 (for the 2-1 result), it would be rude of me not to have a fiver @ 15/2. :-))

While hunting the stats, couldn't help but notice that the Johnstons and Fahey had won all 5 previous runnings of the opener at Muss. Having decided to favour Fahey's Gincident, i decided it only prudent to do a small (50p) Rev f/c with the Johnston horse. 50% of £82.85 ain't bad, though i would've preferred the alternative 1-2. Beggars etc.
