I know I shouldn't list something twice - but put my question on the tail end of the original thread - then thought everyone else will be have finished and so won't see my plea! So forgive me for listing twice - but I would so like to finish this - I enjoyed this unusual puzzle and
I've got the full sentence - all the extra letters - and would really like to take the two final steps as told! Unfortunately the solution to 32 is preventing me from doing this! I know it must be an anagram of IMBER and LN and the meaning must be EARTH - but can't find anything to fit - ( I know I can make NIMBLER - but this is not the answer!) I also know I have entered two answers incorrectly - but can't sort it out without this answer - help please it's driving me mad!
Hi patgreg. You're not being ignored. There are only a few on AB that do this puzzle to my knowledge (NAC, Prof M, teenieleek and Hakir plus a few more) Maybe wait till they come on later to help you. I'm very sure help will come along. :-)
It's a fortification/earthwork - LA inside (anag) [t]IMBER with 't' extra.
I thought the container indicator was a bit off for this one (I was expecting LA(ne) to be blocked by the rest of it, not the other way round).
Thank you both so much - I'd scribbled down LN instead of LA for lane - and didn't check it over - just kept trying to make it fit - a bad habit of mine - still working on scribbles on paper once my newspaper copy gets overloaded - must admit I didn't know the word - thanks again!
