Tribute Bands
45 Answers
Do they become tribute bands because they like the music of the originals, or because they look like them? Seems so many look very much like the originals - can it be coincidence? I realise make up makes them look similar but I saw a Gary Barlow/Robbie Williams tribute advertised and from the photo the facial features looked so like them I would not have questioned it if someone said it was them. What are the chances of two blokes who look like Gary and Robbie getting together and being able to sing like them?

There has been a programme on the tele recently. I think it was called Starstruck where people tried to look and sound like someone famous. I would say very few of them looked like the person they were trying to be, and very few sounded like that person as well.
I think it was Ken who said something about it being in the eye of the beholder and I couldn't agree more. It's also in the ears of the beholder.
My best friend and I have been fans of Elvis since we first clapped eyes on him.
A few weeks ago she said I must watch this person as he sounds just like Elvis.
Did he sound like Elvis to me?
No, not at all.
