Hi Pasta

Saw your comment about broad bean quiche on Vagus's thread, King Charles chose for his coronation a broad bean and spinach quiche - much like his mother chose coronation chicken (not its original name but became affectionaly known as)

I did laugh yesterday - there was an interview between Farage and and an Australian presenter complaining about how woke Charles was to choose a Vegan meal!!!
Himself and I just rolled our eyes about how dense they were!!
But here you are a link to the recipe and story (I hope)

Lol and eggs and cheese!!
Not suitable for those who have dairy allergies then.
I never liked Coronation chicken and I don't fancy this either.
Sorry, just my imagination that somebody will get spinach stuck in their front teeth and not realise. I'm not saying who that might be. :-)
I really don't like quiche, so it doesn't appeal. Not keen on anything eggy except scrambled eggs which strangely I quite enjoy occasionally, as long as its with tomato ketchup!

I like broad beans and spinach though.
I also don't like coronation chicken barsel! Yuk

Seems a reasonable statement. Veganism seems a rather woke issue; and since Charles isn't fully vegetarian one might consider he might have concluded a special occasion deserved more than a veg tart to represent it.

The quiche isn’t vegan though OG
Don't like Coronation Chicken ?!?! No accounting for taste it seems. Mind you there seems umpteen variations of it these days, preprocessed stuff from the store can be quite disappointing.
I've not seen the recipe, but I'm sure it could be made so if desired.
Question Author
Well no OG as a quiche requires eggs and cheese neither which are vegan!
You can get vegetarian and presumably vegan equivalents for dairy. I assume eggs too, not that I've ever tried.
Question Author
You are missing the point.
Farage and the TV presenter were taking the mick out of KC for a Vegan option - it is not Vegan the recipe is not Vegan - if you choose to adapt it and make it vegan that is up to you - however the original is not Vegan.
Farage made himself look stupid - not for the first time!

I don't like mayonnaise or creamy food. I've never bought coronation chicken pre made. I have had it at functions.
