Councils income is more or less fixed so whoever gets in has no power to change this a great deal, so the only issue to argue about is how this money is spent.

Well yes how the money is spent can greatly affect you.

Vote Greens or Lib Dems expect Motorists to be hit and economy Net Zero zealotry, Labour your council will be broke if it follows most labour councils, Tories well who knows these days there dont seem to be many proper Tories left.
It does if you want to be made to feel guilty over the misdeeds of people who've been dead for centuries.

If you want pavements fixed and bins lifted that's a different matter.
“Wot abart the workers,” labour gave up on them via Blair and co.
And the potholes, can’t see wee creepy greens adressing that as given. Free hand they will ban all road users .
And ferries, drug deaths , education, oops, sorry no elections up here, we will have to wait for humza to get around to all that, or maybe not, if all the snp grandees are in the slammer
Elections, are they worth the bother?
What they say is rarely what they do
What they do, if anything, is rarely whats actually needed by the poor benighted voters. I have always ways voted , it’s a civic duty, what a pity the results are so disappointing
So , to answer the O P no it’s not, sadly
Labour your council will be broke if it follows most labour councils

what, like the Lab councils in Thurrock, Northamptonshire and Croydon? Give over, there doesn't seem to be any link between bankruptcy and party politics.
Not sure what you mean there, but, the exception might prove the rule, a few successes outweighed by traditional labour big spending councils , someone else’s money of course
It's all 'someone else's money'.
True , but labour will spend more of it , usually with no useful results, they are very good at telling us how they have “transformed” something though, they don’t often which way , better or worse
