Listen folks: be proud of the UK: it’s led the way in Europe and helping Ukraine.
Don’t throw a wobbly over stuff to do with a thankfully dead conflict.
Getting wound up over nonsense like this shows an inappropriate insecurity. I realise that the OP was mainly about the EU, but thanks to the current PM we are hopefully moving on from that too

No we shouldn't totally disassociate ourselves from the USA. I see no benefit in demeaning ourselves by flouncing simply because we're 'offended'. We need to rise above that and handle any dispute we may have with the USA intelligently and diplomatically.

biden has long identified as irish-american so his support for ireland is not surprising... to be honest i am glad that someone seems to take the good friday agreement seriously because the uk government has been quite reckless with NI over the last few years

many americans support the idea of a united ireland... despite the fact that it doesn't involve them of course lol

i have not checked but i would not be surprised if biden had supported it at some point... many British voters seem to have very little patience for NI either and would rather wash their hands of it... i don't endorse this view but it did come out during the brexit debates
