Aniseed Balls

Can someone clarify whether or not its an actual seed in the middle of an aniseed ball?

Having a long debate about this last night....

It is an actual seed in the middle of the ball. Some aniseed balls don't have the seed but these are generally rubbish cheapo ones. The ones you get in a proper sweet shop and that are really dark red are the genuine article.

me and my boyfried knew it was an actual "anise seed" but my mum and brother were laughing at us saying "yeah alright....(sarcastic of course)".

(my mum bought us back the REAL ones from a porper sweet shop in the Costwolds! - Although problem is im addicted ot them - bad for my teeth :o()
