Do They Speak Irish Gaelic In These Towns And Villagersplease.?

Hi My husband and his friend are learning Gaelic and will be visiting Ballina, Killaloe, Adare Cashel, and Limerick soon in Ireland. Does anybody know if these places are Gaelic speaking please.? I have googled but it doesn't say. Thanks.

My DIL Irish born doesn't speak a word of Gaelic. Her mum does though. I think the younger generation don't speak it, but they're trying to bring it back.

Gaelic is only spoken daily in Gaeltacht areas. Of those you have mentioned I think Cashel is the only Gaeltacht village.

I've known that happen in a pub in N. Wales about 20 yrs. ago to me and a friend, Barry. It also happened to a friend of my daughter's who took her grandad out. The locals immediately switched to Welsh and were being very rude and joking about the old man. Their tune changed when his granddaughter flew at them telling them off in ripe Welsh this was also N. Wales.

Yes remembering from my travels, the further west and north west of Ireland you go,myou will see Gaelic on road signs etc.

In Dublin, all street name signs have both the street name in English & Gaelic.
