Life, As Outlined By The Bishop Of Atheism

"In a universe of electrons and selfish genes, blind physical forces and genetic replication, some people are going to get hurt, other people are going to get lucky, and you won't find any rhyme or reason in it, nor any justice. The universe that we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but pitiless indifference.”

And that is exactly what we observe.
I am currently observing a close friend dying of stage 4 cancer.
I observed my dad dying of painful heart disease and my mother dying of bone cancer.
Ive lost friends to suicide who suffered mental health disorders.
I see nature eating nature
(A lion eating a zebra alive for example)
I see volcanoes and earthquakes and tsunamis killing thousands without the slightest bit of remorse.
The universe IS pitiless.
Just because you might see a shape in a snowflake
doesn't mean that the universe cares about you or
holds any meaning.
It just means that snowflakes hold a certain shape.

Life is nothing more than complex chemistry involving self replicating structures. There are some very good hypotheses. I still favour the serpentinisation of olivine in alkaline hydrothermal vents.
The most fundamental reaction that provides energy in all of life on earth is identical to a reaction that goes on in this chemistry,
This article explores this and other hypotheses. I believe we will have an answer in a few decades provided with the help of AI.

Well, three months has gone by, and what do I see?
Nothing has changed. Still Blind as ever. People have the Bible, but don’t believe it. It was not written for nothing It was written for our Guidance.
The Bible points to a major cause of mankind problems. “Man has dominated man to his injury.”—Ecclesiastes 8:9.
In light of this, is it not clear that we need to turn to God not only for answers to the troubling questions facing humans but also for the solution? What will God do?

Problems inherent in the nature of things are not solved by appealing to the mercy of an imaginary friend. We are the only ones who can save us from what is and what should never have been. The realisation that we are at the mercy of our own delusions is the first step towards solving the problems we encounter in this world we were born into deprived of the knowledge we need to acquire to address and solve them.
