New Fridge/Freezer Help Appreciated
11 Answers
I can't sleep so I have been thinking about how to update my kitchen. I really would appreciate some input on which type of fridge-freezer to buy.
I want a FF with cold water and an ice dispenser. I would prefer to get it plumbed in but it is not essential. It has to be a frost (or is it ice) free machine.
Are the American For Funks Sake better than the tall ones? The flat is old and it has high ceilings but I think I could fit either in.
Any help with this is much appreciated. The FF that came with the flat is a good one but it is far too small for me.
I've just recovered from the ordeal of getting my bathroom refitted. :-)

Aren't American fridges tall anyway ?
Can't answer you question as I've little experience but I had intended to get an American type when I first moved in to my place. But my woman gave me her old chest freezer, as she was buying new, and so I never got around to buying one.

Can you get fridge/freezer together in one appliance if you go for an American style one?
One with an ice dispenser sounds a great idea , particularly in this weather but I would guess it has to be plumbed in.
Is there somewhere like a Curry's near you, I must admit I like to see appliances etc for myself, I am useless at visualising stuff via the internet, even if I later buy on line

Thanks, everybody.
Nobody said that the American Fridge Freezers were pretty looking but not worth the money or badmouthed a standard FF.
I will see how much space I can find on that side of the kitchen and decide which to get. My kitchen is a strange shape and there seems to be too much wasted space.

Just be sure whichever fridge/freezer you decide on will fit in the designated space and has the capacity in both fridge and freezer that you need.
I have to large upright freezers in my garage and a standard undercounter fridge in my kitchen. It works for me. At least if the fridge or freezer breaks down the other will work.
