As for Chester? I used to love visiting the track but it's all changed as regards betting opportunities. And, despite the fact we weren't in the 'cheap seats', our view of the race was so restricted, we had to make do with watching the action on the big screen before seeing a close-up blur of horseflesh as it passed the winning line.
We would have seen much more of the action had we actually plumped for the cheap seats:-/
If i could've gone anywhere today, it would have been the Knavesmire. Lad's working though:-( :-(

Had £5.46 on Vintage Clarets (bit of shrapnel) which won (just) @ 10/3.
