Is There Any Way Of Being Able To Use My Epson V100 Scanner In Windows 11?
5 Answers
I hve had tis scanner for very many years but have not used it of late as it was just as convenient to use the one on my printer.
However I want to scan some 35mm slides and it does that very well with its bult in holders.
However I have gone to Windows 11 since I last used it and although the app loads there is no preview or scan buttons to click!
I contacted Epson who gave me some fixes but no joy. The last email simply said it is not compatible with Win 11. Does anyone know of any 3rd party app that might allow me to scan my slides?
Thanks

I would open this link using the W11 system appliance and follow the instructions. You will need to know how to check the start menu to see whether the scanner has been detected at some point.

To check whether the scanner has been "recognised" you open the start menu with either the windows icon on the keyboard or click on the windows icon on screen bottom left hand corner. In the pop out menu select the settings cog, then "Devices". In that menu select Printers and Scanners. If it is not showing select add printer/scanner. It looks like the scanner only employs USB interface so you will need it plugged in to your appliance of course. At least you don't have the wifi palaver when setting it up.
Thanks all, but I have tried all those "fixes". I had dialogue with Epson with 3 different people and that last one said it would not work.
The annoying thing is that all appears fine. The software opens, the scanner buzzes into life and the dialogue box is completely normal...except that there is no preview or scan button!
