To be on holiday with screaming kids… that are out of control
Being in a pub with Karaoke
Race Nights at my local
People who talk loudly on their mobile on public transport ,I DONT WANT TO HEAR YOUR CONVERSATION
worst nightmare? oh being chased around a room by bereaved parents, one armed with an axe. You make it to the door, and it has NO door handle !
yes it is a nightmare - it didnt really happen
1968 - my elder brudda bunking off local school and going into a neighbouring town and meeting - - - the head master ( nimbo). Nimbo chucked him out at the end of the year.
I went ( started ) at the same school, at that term, at the year ABOVE my brother, and Nimbo looked me one the first day and said: " well I hope you turn up more regularly than your brother"
Falling. As I am waiting for both knees to be replaced, they occasionally give way and I think I'm going to fall sometimes.
It worries me because I don't know if I can get up.
I even dream sometimes that I'm falling and I literally jump up in the bed.
Pretty much the same, for me a holiday has to be a break from the noise and ambient air of aggression that seems to typify city life these days. Other people's children are a nightmare, the scutters don't care, and the better off insist on their children's right to 'express themselves'. My other nightmare would be working in an office back in the day when the male employees treated pretty much all female staff as teagirls or fair game....
My worst nightmare is to get all 7 winners in the ITV7 on a bumper jackpot day, only to miss out on the tie-break question. That's why i always place a £1 e.w. acca on the '7'.
Mind you, rather than being a nightmare, getting all 7 winners is more a pipe-dream:-)
Banging doors, there's a pub near me that has 2 doors that bang all the time. I avoid going there mostly but occasionally I do go with a mate that goes there. If I worked there I'd fix them, I just can't understand why they don't annoy everyone.
My mum's room in a care home has a door just outside that bangs every time, it's on the main corridor, she is severely confused and it drives her even crazier as she thinks someone is breaking in.
