Why was Nathan Lyon not allowed a 'runner' whilst batting yesterday, have I missed something?

Because it’s an international not a club game. ‘The ICC's stance changed after many batters started using runners if they had cramp rather than for serious injuries. Plus, new rules around obstructing the play ensured runners in internationals were banned and will remain so, even if we do end up with farcical situations like this one’ Credit: TalkSport...
