This article makes quite intriguing reading, and who knows, it may save your life. The bit which surprised me was that :-

"Between 2009 and 2019, there were 212 overboard incidents
on cruise ships, according to data compiled by Cruise Lines
International Association. Only 48 of those people were rescued."

I can well believe it. Yesterday I read of MOB on a Stena Ferry from some Scottish Loch to Belfast ferry. Only this minute I read of a mother and son MOB incident on a ferry to Sweden. The latter a suspected Murder and suicide.

MOB? Missing off boat?
Man Overboard
Silly me!
I've never fancied a cruise. You're just a hostage to fortune. No thanks. Even though a close relative has a senior position with Royal Carribean. No thanks.
I love cruising. A perfect way to travel. (If you don't mind the odd choppy sea.)
Any one who enjoys cruises, regularly, know if they still have clay shooting over the stern rail as entertainment for the passengers?.
They must have been doing something stupid to fall overboard.

It's when they call you "mission specialists" instead of passengers that you need to start worrying. This bending the rules to avoid responsibility is deplorable.
