We’ve Just Sat In The Garden

at our current location, for the last few hours, soaking up the sun, enjoying the peace and quiet and a couple of margaritas.
Dog has been running around, up at the fence checking for bunnies, dodging the red kites and having a good sniff.
Our neighbours are having a bbq for a birthday, they’re very nice and we’ve chatted to them and had a bit of fun but mainly have just enjoyed being where we currently are, away from home.

Too cold for that where I am Vagus, and it's raining. Have a nice holiday.

It was a tad chilly earlier cashier, needed my fleece, but it warmed up and the sun came out, and I think the margaritas helped ;)

Also, we went out for a gigantic cooked breakfast late morning so no cooking today, just a sandwich and some strawberries after the margaritas.
And probably a snooze now although I’d like to stay awake and sleep properly tonight..that’d make a nice change!

Sounds lovely, Vagus. Shopping, cooking, cleaning, took the rubbish down the drive, watered the toms. Could be a G&T in the next hour, if I behave myself... ;)

It warmed up this afternoon and turned out quite nice, but sadly I had to work so the best I could manage was to sit outside under the gazebo with my laptop. Whilst I was doing that, I had some pork belly in bourbon in the oven which was very tasty. Then I knocked up a quick pavlova which I shall swap half with my neighbour for some fresh raspberries. And I made some cucumber gin.

Meanwhile, the kittens have deposited a dead shrew into one of Mr BM's trainers and I am in two minds whether to say anything. ;-)

Sat by the sea this morning. Drinking tea and watching the sunshine glittering upon the blue waves. Pleasant breeze, very nice and relaxing.

It's been hissing down all day here - had a longish drive to a local town to get the NCT done on our car - nasty few minutes in the fog over the highest pass - saw lots of glum tourists on 'scenic' coach drives, seeing nothing but the murk.

But it is warm and dry now we are in our favourite bar :-)

2 hours gardening walks for Ted the dawg. Bit of cricket. Weather OK but not too hot so good for Ted. Love an English summer.

An interesting mix of afternoon activities.
Sun is shining here right now, I think this afternoon may be a repeat of yesterday but substituting margaritas with a couple of G&Ts. And dog is going for a walk in five minutes before it gets too hot for him.

Yep, just the one, slice of lemon loads of tonic, lasted about an hour whilst chatting to my pal on Skype.

Have just spoken to my neighbour whose wife of 50 years sadly died on 1st May. I was on bed rest for quite a while so was delighted to chat with him at long last. It was good to talk.

Other than that, the estate needs attention in the gardens. When is Bob-a-Job week? ;)
