What is happening to the world? Fires, floods, earthquakes, people hardly affording to live, people starving, really high temperatures. Anyone got an answer?

Stop sending money to countries where they keep doing so. Stop paying money to people simple because they've had children. If they still insist on knocking out excessive numbers of children then they will have to suffer the consequences. Nature will find a way.
There are simply too many people in the world and the continued increase is unsustainable.

There has "always" been earthquakes since before mankind, or any life, existed here. I'm not aware that there has been a step increase in them of late.
Cost of living is down to numerous things, but include bad weather letting crops down recently, and the war, not to mention the waste of resource from fsiling to correctly manage that recent Chinese pandemic, because they didn't follow the science but what idiots told them was the science.
High temperatures are from climte change and El Niño building up again. It brings higher risk of wildfire. Flooding too.

There are other things on there to sort, that was just one of my points. I wouldn’t know the answer to earthquakes would I? Or anything really. I wondered if anyone had any ideas why all these terrible disasters were happening, and what the causes were. I think it is awful to see the things happening
One answer would be to stop hoping for a non existent afterlife and live in the knowledge this is the only life you have, the only world we have and the only one our children will have in the foreseeable future.
Actually there is a thought that climate change can affect seismic activity at least in areas of glaciation. The decrease in the weight of ice reduces the downward pressure allowing smaller faults to shift. As fault systems are connected a change in pressure in one area can be transferred to another weaker point and trigger an earthquake, or in an area where volcanoes occur potentially trigger an eruption.

No or Yes - I think Christian divines realised this was the only life we had, along with one bodily death and one resurrection - in a difft form.
Augustine - oh lord he prayed, make me chaste, but not just now
not a prayer from someone who expected another go

waters can shift ( you know like the Red sea in the Bible) and the earth below can find it easier to 'boing!'
as Rowan above - BUT it depends on how much.

Three old guys talking, one said;
How's the business?
Oh, terrible. There was a big fire. The place burned to the ground, just ashes and rubble?
Were you insured?
Oh yes. Fully covered. Full payout. What about your business?
Oh terrible. There was a massive rainstorm. Everything flooded and washed away. Mud and devastation. Ruined.

The other two looked a bit puzzled. Tell us, how do you start an earthquake?
