I've seen ta muchly written a few times by different posters. Can you tell me what part of the country it is from. Never heard it used in Yorkshire. Thanks.

Just telly talk that's slipped into the language via blabbermouths. Ginormous is one, humongous another. It's the way language evolves. The Romans had a lovely rule-driven language and now we've arrived at sentences such as, "I mean, I'm like like and she's like what and I'm like what? And she's like I don't, like, like you and I'm like wha'ever."

And, of course, the famous meaningful, although devoid of meaningful words, report from the gunnery sergeant replying to his officer who had asked why the cannon didn't go off, "Sah! The effin' effer's effin' effed, sah!"
