I will say it again, I know some transgender people who have been living quiet, ordinary lives for years, getting on with their families, jobs and neighbours.
This aggressive activism is not helping them and they certainly don't want it. They have experienced more open hostility from strangers over the last 12 months than they ever have.
Even a very dear friend of ours has had cruel and hurtful comments directed at her recently just because she is very tall, has big hands and feet and is homely. She is nearing 70 and we met in the maternity hospital when she and my wife were pregnant. She has been aware of the occasional side eye in the past but this is a different level.
I have nothing against anyone just because they are trans but I cannot agree with agressive campaigners demanding people be punched in the face.
