Has anyone on here experienced a fractured back tooth? I have to have root canal work done on 7th Agust. That's the soonest I can get into Dentist surgery. He done a temporary filling a couple of weeks ago. Just lately it's been aching and I can't chew on the one side. The thing is, I'm flying off to S.Spain next Wednesday and it's worrying me I might have trouble. I just wondered if I could hang on until I come back after 9 days, or should I ring Dentist and try and get emergency appointment? Help! :-)

Yay! Had tooth pulled earlier, no problem. I rang this morning to see if they had a csncellayion, and they did. Don't know why I worried so much! Wondering which painkiller to take when anesthetic wears off. :-)
Great .
Well done, you'll be so much more comfortable. Enjoy your holiday

Good outcome. I suggest alternating Ibuprofen x2 and after a couple of hours, Paracetamol x2 .

I’m sure it won’t be too painful now it’s out.

So pleased to hear that Patsy- hope you have a wonderful holiday with your family.x
I developed awful toothache on a flight to America, no problems before but was in tears by the time we landed.
Eventually got an appointment in the US with a dentist who said I could have a root canal filling. Nope, I wanted it removed, so it was. The relief, OMG!!
So glad you’re all sorted Patsy, hope your holiday is totally pain free.
Well done, Patsy! I hope you have a great holiday :-) x

Thank you Tilly. I'm hungry and don't know what to have! Just had a little plain yoghurt.
Glad I plucked up the nerve and had it done.
Anyway, I hope you continue to make a full recovery. Take it easy :-)
Good to know PatsyXx Toothache was the worst for me, I'll never forget it stabbing pain through my head constantly for days. my solution was Vodka and Ibuprofen (Don't try this at Home) obviously a voyage to 'trip out city' ensued. But something had to give, the tooth lost so did ibuprofen.

Have a lovely holiday when you go away next week.

Thank you LB.
It would have ruined holiday. I was so lucky to get a cancelled appointment.

It's having a filling that can cause problems with flying because of any cavity space that can cause problems with aircraft pressure. That would only be a problem for a couple of days anyway. You'll be fine.
