Unwanted Ad.

Every time I open my email account there is an advertisement from a company which comes up in the first slot each time. I never requested this and I can't find out how to get rid of it. There is no option to unsubscribe, you can only close it, it doesn't delete and is back if you open an email and then go back to the account. Finding it difficult to just ignore it. Any suggestions please.

You should be able to block it using the email filters.
What email service do you use?

I get that I delete it (always just the one advert on top) I think it is something to do with Digital advertising alliance and I don't really understand that so just delete it

Barry, I use Outlook/hotmail, it cannot be blocked. I've tried but don't worry too much about it as once deleted it is gone until the next time I open emails

How are you accessing your email?

In the app for my email there is always an advert at the top. Its not an email, but just part of the layout of the app.

It's probably there courtesy of your e-mail service provider. If you view your e-mails from their site you just have to ignore it. Otherwise use a decent e-mail client on your device to download your correspondence.
