I don't think anyone sensible is denying that the climate is changing, but what is happening has very little relevance to anything 'mankind' is doing, the climate must have been evolving and changing over the last however many billions of years and my gas boiler firing up has no bearing on anything..

I recall the Pathe film news of the early 1940s. They would show the farmer and fellow workers reaping in hot bright sun light when they paused leaning on their scythes watching the dogfights above. That weather was a given. Likewise every Christmas you could guarantee to make a snowman.
When people became more affluent the holiday of choice was Mediterranean destinations because they had the ability to dodge a wet holiday stuck in a caravan or digs in a bleak damp Britain.
The hot climate was enjoyed by Brits because it didn't spoil outside activities and enjoyment. They almost wanted their money back if god for bid it may rain. It is expected that the flora will dry out in these climes. Those Islands don't have the capacity to water the grass and forestry. Grass will dry out as will foliage. That always happens in summer. A careless discarded cigarette butt or thoughtless BBQ will ignite these places. IMO it is a natural phenomenon and has little to do with climate change.

The Romans grew vines to make vines in Scotland when they were there - the climate supported them at that time.

The earth has heated and cooled since its creation, there is no reason to imagine it is going to stop now.

It has been alot hotter than usual this year in parts of Europe.... whether thats climate change or just natural is the issue.... and we know what nearly all scientists think. Nothing anyone says here or anywhere else will pesuade those who think its natural not man made, though to me its obviously abit of both

Just read that 134 Fahrenheit is the highest temperature recorded on earth (Death Valley), that was 110 years ago! Isn't that hot nowadays.

The denial comes from refusing to accept the reasons for the change.
