Prostate Update

I have seen the consultant and had a scan and all is good
I have a large prostate that is not abnormal and have been prescribed Finasteride in addition to the two I have been taking for a few years.

My prostate is 135cc. That means nowt to me.

So all good, as Sqad predicted

I was never given a size, Barry, but it was certainly big enough to prevent me from peeing for 11 days!

In Buenchico’s link, 20-25cc is considered as a normal size, so at 135cc yours is over 5 times the normal volume (that strikes me as quite big).

Although over 5 times the normal volume, since volume of a sphere proportional to the radius to the power 3 – it will be less than double the linear dimensions of a normal prostrate.

Good news Barry. :) OH's was - I forget, but he had a laser resection when in France (about 10 yrs ago now) and it made a lot of difference.
