I've just read through every post on that thread and I can see no reason whatsoever for it being closed. I'm guessing that it was done accidentally.

@22.28. The thread is a month old Khandro so replies do not show in latest posts although they appear on the thread. Over the years that fact has been used by some to communicate privately without the uninvited joining in. When discovered they move to a different redundant thread. They even set threads up in advance like a dead letterbox.
